The idea:
It all started modestly as an acoustic project(!); a meeting of friends who wanted to share at least a scrap of their energy and ideas with the world. This is how Æra came into being, in November 2017, already then with an officially expanded 4-person lineup: Oskar, Marysia, Jagosz, and Agata.
This was the beginning of a great adventure, the reason for frequent smiles as well as a few bitter tears.
On our social media pages, we described ourselves as:
“A completely original musical project. Our sound is around atmospheric and organic indie rock, although we all have different inspirations, which makes us not afraid to move away sometimes towards blues or even punk. As winners of the 2018 Sofa Festival, we continue our journey through musical states of consciousness.'
A lot has changed since we won the festival; we played twice at the Local na Mokotowie, once at the Chmury club in Praga, at the Foka Festival and the Warsaw Youth Festival or even in the Piwnica pod Harendą, where our farewell concert on 27.04.2019 with My Own Wasteland took place with quite a bang.
We hope you managed to attend any of the concerts; if not, don’t worry - we’ve recorded an album that gives you a unique chance to meet our music (and we threw in one 'live' recording, too).

We would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL those involved in our two-year musical project which culminated in the 11 songs on this album.
In particular, we would like to thank Tomek Grabiński for his substantial help and mixing of our single “Something Strange” and Daniel Smagowski for mixing and mastering the rest of the tracks. Special thanks also go to Studio D9 and everyone involved in the organization and execution of Æra.
From the bottom of our <3 we thank our parents, friends, and acquaintances - thank you for your constant support and reliability. Thank you to all our fans - the sight of your smiling faces from the stage always gave us chills and often tears of happiness after the concerts. You proved that the impossible is possible and that the two years of rehearsals were worth it.
We hope that this CD will be a nice reminder of a wonderful musical project and the meeting of four completely different musicians - both stylistically and in their personalities - that will remain in our hearts, and we hope in yours, for a long time to come.
We believe that you will not forget us because Æra was a pure pleasure.
