About me:
I’m a recent graduate from the University of Kent | Paris School of Arts & Culture, where I have obtained an MA in History and Philosophy of Art, researching the links between the early 20th-century European avant-garde and the American underground culture, with a particular focus on Surrealism. I have presented my dissertation, titled "Picturing the perverse: the surreal, the Bizarre, and issues of censorship in John Willie’s vintage S/M erotica" during an international online conference organized by London’s LABRC, Surrealism and Arts-Based Research: Bridging the Imagination and Reality Divide (September 30-October 1, 2024).
Additionally, I hold a BA in Art History with Comparative Literature (2023) from the American University of Paris, where my research focused on Man Ray's Surrealist fashion photography and the Surrealist objects of Meret Oppenheim. During my undergraduate studies, I have written for Dépaysants magazine, Roaches zine, and my first peer-reviewed publication, "On the Verge of Divergence - Review of Toyen: l’écart absolu, Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, 25 March–24 July 2022" has appeared in the online supplement to the International Journal of Surrealism (1.1 Fall 2023).
Recently, I have also presented my project MANIFÆSTO during the ISSS Surrealisms conference in Paris (2024).
